Our Co-Founder talks about car ownership, mobility trends in India


Car ownership once determined as a status symbol is coming under fire lately as commuters face unavoidable repercussions like pollution, traffic congestion, petrol hikes, and steep parking fees daily.

Awareness around car-ownership and its downsides is slowly and steadily giving rise to the adoption of the new mobility patterns like bicycles, bus-sharing and public transport.

Our co-founder, Amit Singh talks to ET Tech about India’s evolution curve and how demand-supply plays a major role in shaping it. Sharing insights on cab-hailing services, he tells how they’re only solving problems for a few.

“Cars and cabs solve problems for barely 10% of India’s commuters. Others have no options,” says Singh.
